On our way at last!

Dave and I left home, finally, at 3pm yesterday afternoon, almost on schedule. We had planned to leave NLT noon. Luckily Frank and Kathy, our hosts for the evening, were so understanding, keeping the delicious dinner on hold until we arrived at 7pm. 

Here is a picture of Dave washing the Casita and Jeep.  Naturally it poured rain as soon as he finished!

Preparations for Travel

It's June 9th and we leave our dome home in less that 3 weeks.  We're are now getting serious about making room in our house for Jason, Cheryl and Ava to move in.  Dave is clearing the small guest room of all his submarine pictures to make way for Ava's princess pictures.  I'm going through years of kept cards trying to decide what to toss; how do you part with a card from a grandchild.  I don't think so!

I'm still getting used to "blogging."  Once we get underway, we'll be more consistent.  Just check back after the first of July to follow our progress.
